Flight Instructor Program

The full CFI curriculum, all 42 lessons

Our entire initial flight instructor curriculum, lesson by lesson, in four phases. Flying begins at Lesson 10. Every lesson is written twice: an instructor plan with a fillable record, and a candidate study guide. Free and open, no account needed.

How to use these

Read it, teach it, sign it

Open any lesson to see the objective, the elements in teaching order with their sources, the schedule, the completion standards, and the full instructor notes. The Supervising Instructor can check elements off, debrief, and sign right in the browser, then print or save a clean copy. Every lesson also has a candidate study guide and a fillable PDF record.

Certificate: initial flight instructor, airplane single-engine land, tested against FAA-S-ACS-25. Aircraft performance numbers always come from the airplane's own POH.
