Your discovery flight

You are going to fly an airplane.

Actual flight training with a certified flight instructor at the Salinas Airport. Not an air tour. Your hands on the controls, over the Monterey Bay coastline.

This is real training

The controls are yours from the start

A discovery flight is the first flight of your training, flown with Erick Teeters in the Piper Warrior. You will preflight the airplane together, fly it with your own hands, and leave with a logbook that has your first entry in it. Whether you are here to chase a career, face down a fear, or just find out what it feels like, this is the honest first step.

The flight is $249, and everything is included: the aircraft, your instructor, the headset and accessories, your logbook, and the photo.

A few things to know

Dress comfortably in closed-toe shoes, and bring proof of US citizenship, a valid passport or your original birth certificate, which TSA rules require before any flight training. We handle the rest. Our full flight guide walks through what to wear, what to bring, and the IMSAFE self-check every pilot runs before flying.

Schedule your flight

Tell us when works

We will reply within one business day to confirm your date. Weather always gets a vote at Salinas, so we will brief a backup day too. If anything on the day is not right, we reschedule, and in aviation that is good decision making, not a cancellation.

If cost is what is keeping you on the ground, tell us when you reach out. We would always rather see someone fly than not.

No spam. We only use your details to arrange your flight.
