Commercial Long Solo Cross-Country

Objective

Fly the commercial long cross-country solo. The flight covers at least 300 nm in total and lands at three points or more. One landing is at least 250 nm straight-line from the original departure point (14 CFR 61.129(a)(4)(i)). The suggested far airport is Chino (KCNO), 252.8 nm from KSNS. The margin is under 3 nm, so start at KSNS.

Completion standards

• The flight meets the route criteria: 300 nm or more, three landing points, and the 250 nm landing.
• The student changes the plan when weather, fuel, or fatigue requires it. A diversion is a good decision. If the flight does not reach the far airport, the lesson repeats.
• The logbook entry and the ledger are complete and agree.
