Class G airspace is uncontrolled airspace. While there are no equipment or certificate requirements to operate within Class G airspace, if you are within 4 NM from the airport in Class G airspace and flying from the surface up to and including 2,500 ft. AGL, you must maintain radio communication with the control tower of that airport.
